Each month we focus on using an oil every day to help us in accomplishing our goals. For October this year, we will be focusing on a beloved, herbaceous oil that is probably familiar to you. Join us in choosing a method of application and simply getting this oil on and around you every day in October! My goal is to use up an entire bottle for my personal use!

Rosemary has an earthy, sweet, herbaceous scent that is familiar to many of us, but most aren’t aware of all the amazing benefits of this oil! Inhaling rosemary essential oil can help overcome mental fatigue, improve mental clarity and focus, ease anxiety and enhance analytic ability. Rosemary is also a key player in our beloved Thieves blend (based on the ‘Four Thieves Vinegar’) and has been burned for centuries as incense to ward off sickness. Rosemary is highly supportive of the immune, respiratory and cardiovascular systems and is often used to support healthy blood pressure.

HowToUse

Application:

  • Diffuse for focus and clarity of thought, especially when feeling overwhelmed or scattered. Rosemary pairs well with citrus oils (also good for stimulating creativity).
  • Diffuse with other immune supportive oils like Lemon, Raven, RC, and Frankincense as needed/desired.
  • Diffuse alone or with other respiratory support oils to open airways.
  • Add 10-15 drops to your shampoo, conditioner or hair mask for healthy hair and scalp.
  • Combine 1 drop of Rosemary with 4 drops carrier, dip a cotton ball in the solution and apply to a freshly washed face to help cleanse.
  • Apply over the heart daily for cardiovascular support.
  • Take Rosemary Vitality in a capsule with olive oil as a dietary supplement for cardiovascular and immune system support.
  • Remember to use your Rosemary EVERY DAY to see the most benefits - cardiovascular, emotional, immune, all of them!

Recipes:

  • “Aveda” diffuser blend: 4 Rosemary, 2 Peppermint, 3 Lemon
  • “Herb Garden” diffuser blend: 3 Rosemary, 3 Lavender, 2 Lemon, 1 Peppermint, 1 Basil
  • Energizer Bunny Serum (supports the adrenals): To a 2oz dropper bottle add: 10-20 drops each Rosemary, CLove, Nutmeg. Fill with castor oil. Apply over the lower back daily before bed OR morning and evening.
  • Coconut Rosemary Hair Mask: Mix together ¼-½ cup coconut oil, 10 drops of Rosemary, 10 drops of Cedarwood, then apply to the ends of hair, up to the middle (avoiding the scalp). Leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse and/or wash hair as desired.
